The India Community Center promotes Indian culture and values through programs that unite the Indian community. This bench celebrates that heritage with a peacock, the National Bird of India. The Center thanks Ravi Sharma for the design as well as Nirupama Laroia and Mythreyi Srinivasan for their support of this project.

Chris Pallace cites René Magritte’s surrealist masterpiece Son of Man as his inspiration, while artist Kevin Serwacki says that his imagination is continually inspired by The Garden of Earthly Delight, Hieronymus Bosch’s 16th century triptych.
